Why Tenacity Is One of the Most Critical but Overlooked

As entrepreneurs, we are passionate, volatile, growth-hungry individuals. We have broken the norm, survived the rat race, shed our barriers, and are eagerly awaiting a future of extraordinary success.

But while our fire and risk-taking mentality was instrumental in leading us to take the first step towards building our brand, when things get tough, they are not enough to keep us going.

The truth is, our courage often inspires us to take new risks. When a new trend comes, we leave everything to carry it forward. We come to shiny items and FOMO strategy. We switch platforms faster, hoping that the next one will improve our results.

With this mindset, we will miss one of the most important but overlooked entrepreneurial skills: tapa.

Importance of Tapa: How I increased my agency by 200% during difficult times

Let’s return to 2015. Then, my content agency, Express Writers, was hitting a growth plateau. Yes, we were getting around 500 daily visitors to our site, which earned us around $ 29k per month.

But to be honest, he was fat. In most months, we did not even take advantage. I didn’t know how we were going to scale, and if ever we.

During these months, the temptation to leave was genuine. Of course, I believed in content marketing. I saw what it did for the amazing seven and eight figure brands like HubSpot and Content Marketing Institute. But everywhere there were shiny items such as cold email, FB advertising and 101 new marketing tactics.

Can’t I try any of these, and if it fails, can I return to content marketing?

I did not do it. I acted strongly on what I believed in. I worked hard, created a content strategy and implemented it. Our earnings doubled in three months. We finished 200% larger than at the beginning of the year.

Its secret was tenacity. The Oxford Dictionary describes the term as “the quality or fact of being able to hold an object firmly.”

It is determination. Perseverance in front of hell and high water. Those who cultivate it will see amazing results in their daily lives as entrepreneurs.

How to cultivate tenacity: four simple steps to hold more firmly in a changing world

All humans can cultivate austerity through continuous work and courage. Here are four steps to success.

1. Make clear goals…

When you are not sure what you are holding, it is hard. What are you trying to achieve? How soon do you want to go there What specific steps do you need to take there?

To create a strong platform to hold firmly, take time to sit empty and set clear goals. Write down where you want to go and how you will get there. Explain each step in detail. Remember to be as specific as you can.

Once you set your goals, it will be easy to get a grip on them when things get easier.

2.… but prioritize habits over goals.

Goals are important, but they are not your number 1 ticket to success. Always keep in mind that you are not 100% in control of the success of your goals.

For example, your goal might be to get 2,000 site visitors per day through your content. Although it is achievable, you cannot control when it will happen. The longer you wait, the more discouraged you will be.

A great alternative is to focus on habits rather than goals. For example, instead of getting 2,000 site visitors a day, make a habit of posting high-quality blog posts twice a week. Work hard for this habit, and the success of your goal should follow.

3. Love what you do.

According to Salopreneur and author Dan Dowling, “(it) doesn’t matter how skilled or qualified you are: love comes first.”

As human beings, we cling to what we love, whether it is a memory, a friend, or a place where we find peace. The same is true with running a business. Love what you do and hold yourself firmly.

4. Fill your life with compassionate people.

As the famous quote by Jim Rohan states, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

Do not waste your time around complainants and such people, who give the smallest challenge and run away. Surround yourself with lonely people, and you will be able to hold yourself longer than you think.
