No harsh chemicals

Many commercial Holi colors contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your skin. Opt for natural, herbal colours whenever possible to prevent rashes.

Apply a generous amount of moisturiser to your face, arms, and legs before Holi. Petroleum jelly around your lips and nostrils provides extra protection.

Use oil

Apply coconut oil, almond oil, or olive oil to your exposed skin before playing Holi. The oil helps prevent colours from sticking to your skin and prevent irritation.

Smart outfits

Opt for full sleeves and pants if you have sensitive skin. Consider wearing sunglasses and a bandana to protect your eyes and hair from colour.

Hygiene and safety

Avoid using water balloons filled with dirty or stagnant water, as this can cause infections. Play with clean water and in hygienic environments.

Drink water

Staying hydrated throughout the day will help flush out toxins and keep your skin healthy. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after playing Holi.

Don't scrub your skin harshly to remove colours. Use lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser to remove it. Avoid using hot water or harsh soaps.

Apply a calming lotion like calamine lotion or aloe vera gel to soothe any irritation caused by the colours. These gels will help cool and heal your skin.
