Science

If science is your passion and not just engineering, consider careers in pure science. Go for a B.Sc degree in physics, chemistry or mathematics.

Computer science

If you wanted to study computer science engineering, a B.Sc in computer science can be considered.

Business

If your end goal is to do MBA, you can start from scratch and first pursue BBA instead of B.Tech. You can still do an MBA afterwards.

If you really don't want to drop a year but want to do engineering as well, consider vocational courses and training.
