If on Tuesday afternoon you wish the summer wasn’t nearly over, I have a real treat for you. As you know I like a little color when it comes to weddings. Over the years we have seen a sea of white and green mixed with natural elements, which I love, but I am glad that the color has again made an appearance. The shoot was presented to me by Coastal Tents Limited, who have produced a stunning Mexican Fiesta style shoot with a fantastic team of first-class wedding suppliers. The shoot took place in April last year at Charisworth Farm, Blandford, Dorset. It is full of color, vibrancy and the most amazing flowers and decorations. A sure-fire way to do some cheer this Tuesday afternoon.
Viva La Mexico! A celebration of energy, color and texture from the heart of Mexico.
The shoot was first inspired by Rosie and Emma, who usually wanted to do something colorful and different to make them. It began as an ombre color discovery in the scheme, but when Sally, from Sally with Love, showed us the stationery of her Mexican Ottomie range, it had to change to celebrate the color and vibrancy of this incredible Mexican culture, This is also true. The fiesta looks in the sail fabric which is such a wonderful blank canvas.
Color was the main inspiration behind this shoot but given the colors used in Mexican culture and oatmeal textiles, we could use them to create the look in plants and flowers. We really wanted to show how the sailcloth tent could lend itself to a different look and what a happier color it could be! It was also an opportunity for us to be creative in a way that we often do not get.
