Versace presents Vision For The Future, a story of the new Versace Jeans Couture collections through the visions of a new generation of international creatives.
The project was born out of the desire to respond optimistically to the pandemic and demonstrate how this period influenced creativity by stimulating it to take new paths looking for a message of love and global solidarity.
Versace Jeans Couture he asked a series of multimedia artists, from different backgrounds and backgrounds, to interpret the brand’s collections by exploring their personal vision for the future.
The first artist is the French director and photographer Jason Yan Francis, which thanks to the digital collage has created a series of images with a strong visual impact capable of communicating the concept of unity and connection, even between two remote subjects.
«With this series of multimedia collages I wanted to illustrate how the younger generations are united by creativity.», commented the artist chosen by Versace. “Despite being strangers to each other, I wanted them to meet virtually through my collage. “ Francis explains by telling of the passions shared by the two protagonists of his project: Lilian and Hannah. “Both are passionate about different art forms: from sewing, to drawing, to dance to make-up and writing. […] I collaborated with them in each of their homes, building DIY sets and showing that anything is possible with creativity and optimism. “
The new collection Versace Jeans Couture is available online on versace.com as of July 2, 2020 together with the projects of Vision For The Future. The series will include the personal visions of the Montreal director and photographer, Alex Black, and the young director from Frankfurt, Paul Herrmann.
