UPSC CMS Apply Online 2024
The UPSC Combined Medical Service Exam application was started online on the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates had applied for UPSC CMS through the direct link given below. Before you start the application procedure make sure to keep the required documents along with you such as age proof, qualification certificates, address proof, and so on. Steps to Apply for UPSC CMS 2024
Candidates can only apply online for UPSC CMS Exam. Here are few simple step by step procedure to apply for UPSC CMS 2024.
- Go to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at www.upsconline.nic.in.
- Click for the ‘Apply Online’ link on the homepage.
- Candidates are required to do the One Time Registration.
- Fill in the mobile number, email address, DOB, and required details.
- Once you are successfully registered, save your registration details.
- Proceed to fill in the application form.
- Scan the required documents.
- Pay the application Fees if required.
- Submit and save the application form for future reference.
UPSC CMSE Application Fees
Candidates for female/SC/ST/PwBd categories need no application fees. Except for the above said categories, the rest of the candidates need to pay Rs 200. Candidates can pay the application feeeither by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment. “Pay by cash” mode option will be deactivated at 23:59 on 29th April 2024 (one day before the closing date). Online application fees will be acceptable till 30th April 2024, 6 pm. Application fees are nonrefundable.

UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria for admission to the UPSC CMS Exam 2024. Below UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria have been discussed.
Nationality
A candidate must be either:
(a) a Citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for the UPSC CMS Exam 2024 need to be below 32 years as of 01st August 2024. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1992. However, for Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Subcadre of Central Health Services, the upper age limit must not exceed 35 years. Age relaxations are as per the rule.
Education Qualification
A candidate must have passed both the written and practical stages of the final M.B.B.S. Examination in order to be admitted to the UPSC CMS Exam 2024. Final-year candidates will be admitted to take the examination but they need to provide the passing documents if they get selected for the position applied for. A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection, he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.

UPSC CMS Exam Pattern 2024
- The Paper I and II will be objective-type MCQs.
- The Question paper will be set in English only.
- Both papers will contain a maximum 250 marks each.
- Total number of questions in Paper I will be 120 (96 from General Medicine and 24 from Pediatrics.
- Total questions in Paper II will be 120 (40 questions from each part).
- Candidates should note that there will be a penalty of Negative Marking.

UPSC CMS Salary 2024
The candidates will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of appointment which may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
- Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service- The scale of pay admissible to the Medical Officer of CHS is in the Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 to Rs.1,77,500/-)
- General Duty Medical Officer in the New Delhi Municipal Council– Pay Matrix Level-10 Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/- + restricted Non-practicing allowance (NPA).
- General Duty Medical Officer Gr.II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi- Salary at the minimum of first cell of Rs.56,100/- in the level 10 of the Pay Matrix under 7th CPC.
