Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission(UPPSC) has released the UP PCS Mains Admit Card. The candidates who qualify in uppsc prelims exam can download the UPPSC PSC Mians Admit Card 2023. UPPSC PCS Vacancy 2023

UPPSC has announced the UP PCS vacancies along with the Official UPPSC notification pdf. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has introduced 254 vacancies for the UP PCS 2023 exam. Last year, the vacancies for the Combined State Services Examination were 250.

UPPSC 2023 Application Form

The online application process for UPPSC PCS 2023 exam is to be conducted in online mode only, not offline mode this time. The registration dates for UPPSC 2023 Exam have been announced with UPPSC Notification 2023. The commission has started accepting online applications from 03rd March 2023 onwards. In the ON-LINE Application process, after completing the procedure of the first stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in the second stage. The category-wise online application fee for UP PCS and Assistant Conservator of Forest (A.C.F.) / Range Forest Officer (R.F.O.) Services Examination – 2023 is mentioned below:

Steps to Apply for UPPSC 2023 Application Form 

The candidates have to submit their UPPSC 2023 Application Form to get registered for UPPSC 2023 Exam. Follow the below steps for filling the application form for UP PCS 2023. 

Step-1 Visit the UPPSC official website – uppsc.up.nic.in.

Step-2 Under the heading Activity Dashboard, search for the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate 2023 apply link.

Step-3 Click on the Apply Online link.

Step-4 A new window will be opened on the screen, there select the UPPSC PCS 2023 exam and press the Apply button.

Step-5 First complete the UPPSC PCS registration process by providing the relevant details.

Step-6 Now pay the requisite application fee.

Step-7 Fill in any other relevant detail if required.

Step-8 Upload the scanned UPPSC PCS images.

Step-9 Press submit to successfully complete the UPPSC PCS application form 2023.

Step-10 Take a printout of the same for future reference.

Candidates must apply after reading the eligibility criteria to appear in the UPPCS PCS 2023 exam: Here are the broad pointers:

Educational Qualifications for UP PCS

For the posts included in the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination, the candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification up to the last date for receipt of application. The post wise educational qualification is given below:

4 Law Officer

A Candidate for direct recruitment to the post of Law Officer must possess the following qualifications:-

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a University established by law in India.

(ii) Registration in the concerned Bar Council or the affiliated Bar Association recognised by the Bar Council of India and two years practice experience certificate
issued/Certified by Bar Council/Bar Association.

5 Technical Assistant (Geology)

Essential Qualification:-

(I) A master’s degree with at least 50 percent mark’s in Geology or Applied Geology or Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad.

(ii) Preferential :- Research experience or field training conducted by Geological Survey of India

6 Technical Assistant (Geophysics) Post graduate degree with at least 50 percent mark’s in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Geology or applied Geology (with physics, Mathematics at the B.Sc. level) from a university established by law in India.
7 Tax Assessment Officer Graduation Degree in Commerce or Economics with 55% marks from a university recognized by Law in India.

Age Limit for UP PCS (as on 01/07/2023)

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2023. The candidates must not be born before 02 July 1983 and after 01 July 2002.

UPPSC 2023 Selection Procedure

The UPPSC prelims and mains exam for UP PCS 2023 will be conducted offline across the state. The UPPSC 2023 PCS selection procedure has 3 stages:

1. Prelims (Objective/ MCQ)

2. Mains (Written)

3. Personality Test (Interview)

UPPSC 2023 Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS exam is a three-stage exam and the candidates need to appear in the UPPSC PCS prelims exam followed by the mains exam & Interview (Personality Test). The prelims exam is an objective type exam comprising two question papers.

UPPSC 2023 Prelims Exam Pattern

  1. The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2023 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shifts.
  2. The total marks allotted for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours.
  3. The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) are 150 while Paper-2 is of 100 marks.

Important Points:

1. Paper II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

2. It is mandatory for the Candidates to appear in both the papers of the Preliminary Examination.

3. The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I of the Preliminary Examination.

UPPSC 2023 Mains Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS mains written examination will consist of six compulsory and two optional Papers. The time allotted for each paper is 3 hours. The Pattern & and syllabus for the main examination is provided below:

Personality Test (Interview)

The Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE) will constitute 100 marks. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, general suitability for the service, some general knowledge questions and current topics.

UPPCS 2023 Salary/ Pay Scale

The pay scale of all posts under the combined state services is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-

Under the Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination the Pay-Scale, grade pay and status of Post are given as below:

Assistant Conservator of Forest- Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-, Grade Pay- Rs.5400/-, (Level 10 in the pay matrix Group) Group “B”, Gazetted.

Range Forest Officer Services Examination- Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/-, Grade Pay – Rs.4800/-, (Level 8 pay matrix 47600 – 151100) Group “B”, Gazetted.

UPPCS 2023 Answer Key

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission also issues UPPSC PCS answer key for the prelims exam within one month of the exam. The candidates can check their answers and can raise objections to wrong answers in the provisional answer key at the official website of UPPCS.
