As per the officials, the UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Services Preliminary Examination – 2024 which was scheduled for 17th March 2024 has been postponed due to unavoidable conditions. Step 1 Candidates must visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission(UPPSC) at www.uppsc.up.nic.in.

Step 3 Click on the Apply Online link and a new window will be opened on the screen
Step 4 Select the UPPSC PCS 2024 exam and press the Apply button.

UPPSC PCS Physical Measurement Test
UPPSC Physical Measurements will be applicable according to Service Rules/requisitions, for the post of Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Jail, District Commandant Home Guards, Excise Inspector, and Deputy Jailor. UPPSC PCS 2024 Selection Process
The selection of the candidates for UPPSC PCS 2024 will be based on the candidate’s performance in all 3 stages of the selection process i.e. prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. Qualified candidates in the prelims exam will be shortlisted for the main exam and candidates who clear the mains exam will be called to appear for the last stage of the selection process i.e. Interview exam.

UPPSC PCS 2024 Exam Pattern
The UPPSC PCS exam is a three-stage exam and the candidates need to appear in the UPPSC PCS prelims exam followed by the mains exam and interview (Personality Test). The prelims exam is an objective type exam comprising two question papers.
UPPSC 2024 Prelims Exam Pattern
- The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2024 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shifts.
- The total marks allotted for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours.
- The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) are 150 while Paper-2 is of 100 marks.

Important Points:
1. Paper II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

The pay scale of all posts under the combined state services is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
