LUCILLE DISCOVERS AKIM’S ACTIONS
Adam Martin has been taken into custody. During his interrogation, he denies the charges against him and claims to be only a VTC driver who uses drugs from time to time. On his arrival, Maître Levars asks to speak alone with his client.
Returning home in the early morning, Akim apologizes to Lucille for having stood her up the day before. When she questions him about the case he is working on, the policeman prefers to go to bed.
For his part, Master Levars informs Adam that he will be brought before the deputy prosecutor and that his hearing will take place during the day. If the young man is not worried about going for a little walk in prison, he does not know, however, how the police could have cornered him. When the lawyer reminds him that he ran a red light, Adam replies that he is sure he was careful to respect the rules of the road. He then thinks that a competitor could denounce him.
A few hours later, Adam is in prison.
Not far from there, Akim invites Lucille out to the bar whose inauguration she covered. Uncomfortable, she suggests another place but their conversation is interrupted by a call from Adam who informs her that he has been arrested. Immediately, the journalist asks him about his arrest. The latter then indicates that it was a set up and then gives him the description of the two police officers who put him behind bars.
After hanging up, Lucille reproaches her boyfriend for having locked up the only drug dealer who had agreed to speak to her. Back to the wall, Akim recognizes that he searched his phone and used his information. Lucille, who is furious, explains that if someone learned that her companion arrested one of her sources, she would no longer be credible in the profession and would lose her job.
EVE SUCCEEDS TO REACH ELIOTT
In high school, Camille thanks Eve for having managed to make her father smile again. The French teacher is happy to hear it and then thanks her in turn for having accepted her relationship with him.
Subsequently, Eve receives a call from the prosecutor. As he suspects Eliott of having organized his disappearance, Bernier specifies that he did not respect the terms of his judicial review. As a result, he will be sentenced again and his suspended sentences will be applied. Angry, Bernier also affirms that he will send him directly to prison. However, the prosecutor is ready to give up if she manages to find him quickly. If he has no news of him in the evening, Bernier will warn Interpol.
Without waiting, Eve arrives furious at 101 and orders Dylan to tell her where her son is. Back to the wall, the young man indicates that he has only one way to reach him.
Meanwhile, Manu is back at the police station to the delight of his colleagues. After telling him that he was happy to see him again, Becker wants to talk to him alone about the evening of December 31. Knowing very well that he has been flirting with the limits for some time now, the commissioner advises him to recover his memory quickly before it is too late.
For his part, Dylan shows Eve the mailbox they use to communicate without leaving a trace. So he writes a message in the drafts in which he asks his friend to call his mother back on a prepaid number. That way, Eliott can read it and respond to them.
Shortly after, Eve receives a call from her son who explains that he has no intention of returning to Montpellier despite Bernier’s threats. Tears in her eyes, Eve tries to convince him but without success. While she would like to know when they will be able to see each other again, Eliott retorts that he does not know, especially since she risks being put under surveillance. In tears, Eve says she refuses never to see him again, but Eliott urges her to take care of herself before hanging up.
For his part, Virgil announces to Sofia that he is going to sell the campsite. If the waitress offers him to come back to work at Les Sauvages, Virgile declines because he wants to move on and leave the past behind him.
A few steps away, Manu discovers Eve in tears who tells him everything that happened. The policeman does try to reassure her but she cannot help worrying about her son and cannot imagine that she will never see him again.
