TS TET 2024 Exam Date 2024
The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana has released the official notice regarding the exam date for the Telangana State Teaching Eligibility Test (TS TET). The exam will be held from 20th May to 02nd June 2024. TS TET Exam will be conducted in computer-based mode at the various exam centers in the 11 districts of the Telangana state. The exam will be held in two shifts. Paper 1 will be held from 9.00 am to 11.30 am and Paper 2 will be held from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm. TS TET Hall Ticket 2024 has been released on 16th May 2024.

Steps to Apply for TS TET Notification 2024
The candidates who wish to appear for the Telangana TET must visit the official website and then follow the step-by-step procedure mentioned here below.
1. First, visit the official website of the Department of School Education (DSE) i.e. https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in/.
2. Candidates now first have to pay the application fee as per the number of papers they are appearing for.
3. After successfully paying the examination fee, candidates will be issued a payment receipt with a journal number mentioned on it.
4. Candidates now have to fill out the registration form by entering relevant details like the journal number, date of payment, and the candidate’s date of birth and then proceed to the online application form.
5. Now, fill out all relevant details such as the name and other personal details of the candidates.
6. Review all the entered information and click on the submit button. A confirmation message will be sent on the candidate’s registered mobile number.
7. Print out the application form, and keep it safe for future.
TSTET 2024 Application Fee
Candidates appearing for the TS TET exam must pay the online examination fee through online payment modes including Net Banking, UPI, and Debit/Credit Cards. Candidates appearing for either Paper I or Paper II will have to pay Rs. 1000/- and those appearing for both papers will have to pay Rs. 2000/-.

TS TET 2024 Notification Eligibility Criteria
The candidates appearing for paper I and paper II have to first fulfill certain eligibility requirements, only the candidates fulfilling the prescribed educational requirements will be allowed to appear for the TS TET exam 2024. Here, below are the educational requirements both for the first paper and the second paper.
TS TET Educational Qualifications for Paper I
Candidates who wish to be appointed as teachers from classes Ist to Vth have to appear for Paper I and must fulfill certain basic educational requirements as prescribed by the authorities.
- A minimum of 45% in Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent). The minimal score for candidates who are SC, ST, BC, or differently abled is 40%. And, in the case of candidates who have already passed or been admitted to the D.El.Ed. / D.Ed. course prior to the publication of these guidelines, pass the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, the 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However, in the case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
TS TET Educational Qualifications for Paper II
To become teachers for classes VI to VIII, candidates have to appear for paper II and must have some basic minimum educational qualifications as specified here below.
- A bachelor’s degree in the oriental language (or its equivalent), a degree in literature, a postgraduate degree in the relevant language, and a language pandit training certificate or B.Ed. with the relevant language as one of the methodologies, with regard to language teachers.
- B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In the case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).
- B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or were admitted to the B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines.
- B.E. or B.Tech with a minimum of 50%. Candidates who are SC, ST, BC, or differently abled must receive a minimum of 45% of the marks to pass the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Ed. (Special Education) program.
- Four years of B.A.Ed. or B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% of the marks; for candidates who are SC, ST, BC, or differently abled, the minimum is 45%.
TSTET Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates who will have to appear for the Telangana TET exam must be aware of the exam pattern as prescribed in the TS TET Notification 2024. The exam pattern will help the candidates to prepare better for the exam and score better marks, the exam pattern for paper I and paper II are provided below.
- The TS TET exam will include multiple-choice questions.
- Every question carries 1 mark in the computer-based test, i.e. for every correct answer candidates will get 1 mark.
- There will be no negative marking in the exam, i.e. no marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

The paper I of TS TET exam will include a total of 150 MCQs from different subjects and will be conducted for a total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes, the exam pattern is provided in the table below.
