Top 10 moments of movies or series where we saw nothing at all, are you serious?

If you watched the final battle of Game of Thrones, you know what it’s like to stare at a black screen for 1h20. There are a bunch of films and series that are impossible to watch during the day; unless you close all the shutters and hide under a plaid with the brightness on full. We don’t know who messed up on the calibration but it would have deserved a little more contrast guys…

1. Half of House of Dragon Episode 7

When we started watching House of Dragon, we suspected that it would look like Game of Thrones but we secretly hoped that the small lighting defects would be absent. Unfortunately, we could see in episode 7 that they still like to film 30-minute scenes where we see NOTHING at all. Already a funeral is sad, so it’s even worse when you’re in the dark.

2. The battle against the White Walkers in Game of Thrones Season 8

We waited for this battle for eight years, we expected a moment as epic as phenomenal and it was surely the case. Except we didn’t see anything. Even watching the episode in the middle of the night, in a darkened room, you couldn’t see much and just heard people dying in the snow wondering who it could be.

3. The 2017 Justice League movie

Who knows why, the people who worked on the lights of the Justice League movie obviously had a hard time making choices. The colors change from one shot to another, some scenes are very bright to the point of hurting the eyes and others are dark and you can’t see anything. If anyone wants to redo the stalwart of this film, don’t hesitate.

4. Certain scenes in Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief

Even if they were far from being as cool as the books, the films on Percy Jackson were rather successful and we are still waiting for the last one. However, there were scenes in the first film where you couldn’t see anything at all and it’s not practical to understand the story.

5. The final battle between Hulk and Absorbing Man in Hulk

In the 2003 movie Hulk, the ugly green monster does battle with the bad guy with no name: the Absorbent Man. The movie is bad enough and the fight scene had to be impossible to watch. If you rewatch this moment, you’ll see that it’s extremely dark, which has the merit of hiding the disgusting 3D.

6. Most fight scenes with Godzilla

Most movies with Godzilla are hard to enjoy due to extremely low light. This technique is used to hide unsatisfactory special effects and it’s downright sad because what we want to see are gross monsters fighting; not the reflection of our face in a black screen.

7. All night scenes in the third Pirates of the Caribbean

If you remember the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, you probably only remember half of the movie since the other half was way too dark to understand anything. For all the scenes where the good and the bad pirates confront each other on the deck of the boat in the middle of the night, they could have contented themselves with the sound recording and the result would have been identical.

8. Quite a few scenes in Aliens vs. Predator 2

With a rating of 1.6 out of 5 stars Allociné, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem is definitely considered a bad movie. In addition to a catastrophic scenario, the directors made no effort to try to have a correct rendering. Half of the scenes are in the dark, surely to try to hide their mediocrity, and it’s extremely unpleasant.

9. A lot of scenes from the horror movie The Nun

For a horror film to be scary, it necessarily needs a little dark scenes. But if you can’t see anything anymore, it’s not really scary anymore. This is somewhat the case in The grandmother and it’s a shame because it’s a good horror movie as we like them. You just have to watch it in total darkness, without even the light from your street lamp.

10. Certain night scenes in Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad isn’t an atrocious movie, but there’s a lot (a lot) of things wrong. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to give you a dissertation on this work by James Gunn, so I’ll just mention the lack of light on the night scenes. WE SEE NOTHING. This is the conclusion of this top.
