Tom Holland attempts to break the internet with a shirtless photo showing off his ripped torso, taken during training for Spider-Man: Far From Home. Holland has been shooting the movie in various locations worldwide over the past few months as part of a grueling schedule to reach the movie’s December 17 release date. The actor is so exhausted from the effort that he’s said he is ready to take a break from acting after Spider-Man: Far From Home wraps, allowing himself to recharge.
The movie is the latest in a long string of high-profile productions the British star has appeared in since he was cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man for Captain America: Civil War. In addition to appearing as the character in three solo Spider-Man movies and two Avengers outings, Holland has starred in several other films, like Chaos Walking, Cherry, and Uncharted. But to his credit, the actor has soldiered on, and judging by his social media account, he enjoys every moment of his high-profile job. And now, a new social media post proves just how physical he got for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Posted to his Instagram stories with a curse-filled caption, Holland shared a photo of himself shirtless standing next to celebrity trainer and stuntman Duffy Gaver. The image shows off an astonishing six-pack and proves Holland has some serious muscle definition. You can read the accompanying caption and see the image below:
I never post s— like this but it’s our last day so f— it. Thank you @duffygaver for making everything about this job better. Love you pal. Last session. No. 72.
The impressive image is a sign of just how hard the training was for Holland on Spider-Man: Far From Home and is a hint that a shirtless scene or two may be included in the movie. The caption also hints that Holland might be done filming on Spider-Man: Far From Home. It’s unclear, though, what he means by “last day,” and it could also refer to his last day of training with Gaver. But it’s more likely to refer to filming on his latest outing as the web-slinger, marking the end of a long shoot that began in NYC back in October 2020.
You can’t blame Holland, then, for celebrating the end of a long process, especially if he had to maintain that torso throughout the shooting. The actor might be young and full of energy, but it must have taken a lot of hard work to stay in that kind of shape for months on end. Hopefully, if filming on Spider-Man: Far From Home is indeed finished, Holland gets his break and is allowed to sit back and reflect on the past few years before he heads out to promote the movie later this year.
