- Today co-host of the show, Savannah Guthrie, dropped her microphone on the show on Thursday.
- Hoda Kotb couldn’t help but laugh after Savannah explained what was wrong.
- Savannah is not the only television star struggling with home production equipment.
Savannah Guthrie knows very well that working from home can be difficult.
Thursday Today show, the microphone of the co-host NBC clipped to the top of her blouse suddenly fell on her shirt while she was still on the air. Reacting quickly, a frantic savannah stuck his hand on his shirt in search of his co-stars Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin watched and sat quietly.
Later in the show, Savannah clarified Today viewers – and her amused co-stars Craig, Hoda and Al roker – what had happened.
“Just before we got there, my mic … put my shirt down and I knew I was supposed to read the intro, so I made the decision to reach out and get it,” Savannah remembers. On hearing the story, Hoda couldn’t help but throw her head back laughing.
“I’m sorry, but the timing was perfect,” said Hoda between laughs. “I see a meme in your future.”
Of course, Savannah is not the only TV host to have experienced technical problems while working remotely. Last week, Joy Behar from ABC View also had an “oops!” when she accidentally dropped her camera just before the show started. Fortunately, the husband of the show’s longtime host, Steve Janowitz, helped her regain her nutrition and function quickly. Like Hoda, Joy’s co-stars Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain, and Sunny Hostin got a good kick out of the incident.
Working from home is definitely an interesting trip, right?
