E! News confirmed that The Nanny will soon be available to stream on HBO Max. Fans may have forgotten that the iconic sitcom wasn’t already available for streaming on any platform. Now, fans of the show can stream the sitcom in its entirety starting April 1. Drescher is likely on board with The Nanny’s HBO Max release as she has been drumming up ways for the show to return. Not only has she pitched a revival but is also currently working on a Broadway musical adaption of The Nanny.
The Nanny follows a cosmetics saleswoman who is fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend. She ends up becoming the nanny to the three children of a rich English widower. As time passes, the two fall for each other.
HBO Max has become increasingly more enticing as the year has gone on. It was announced at the end of 2020 that the entire Warner Bros. 2021 feature film lineup will be released on the streaming service. Each film will be available for one month starting from when it releases in theaters. Then several of its original series became Golden Globe nominees this year like The Flight Attendant, The Undoing and Lovecraft Country. Now, 90s sitcoms fans can rejoice as The Nanny is set to air on HBO Max with a Friends revival in the works.
