Super Mario Bros Wonder didn’t need a Nintendo Switch 2 to …

Super mario Bros Wonder is now available and it has become a Nintendo smash. Mario’s new adventure has received a lot of positive reviews this week. It’s not hard to understand why. This 2D platformer represents both a return to Nintendo’s core franchise and a reinvention, as it brings new gameplay concepts to an age-old formula. This is also one of the most visually stunning video games this year.

This is not a photorealistic Forza Motorsport or dazzling Marvel’s Spider Man 2 spectacle, but it is still a sight to behold. The 2D Flower Kingdom is given depth by the vivid cartoon graphics, the detailed animations and the painterly background. This is an incredible feat that was accomplished with the same console which left players begging for an update. Super Mario Bros Wonder is a great reminder that art can be as powerful as power.

Sounds amazing

Super Mario Bros Wonder may look similar to The New Super Mario Bros. U deluxe. But, the minute you start it, you are thrown into an incredibly beautiful world. Mario is standing in the first level, looking out at a vast sea of blue and green hills. Star-shaped trees with simple, windy leaves grow above it. Flower Kingdom feels more alive than some 3D games with the highest budgets.

This is only possible because of a multitude of tiny details. The levels don’t have hyper-detailed texture, but a vibrant color palette gives them a cartoony charm. A new snail has stuck with me, thanks to the vibrant pink shell which contrasts its green sticky body. Pop art splashes can make all the difference. Mario’s ground-pounding is highlighted with a flash of white and yellow to give it more impact. It is also accentuated by the sound from the snare.

Animation has been re-invented to make everything work together. Wow This is the most expressive Mario 2D and 3D game ever, thanks to its tiny details. A GameExplain video shows it all in action. It compares Super Mario Bros. U deluxe Animations of and Wonder . Mario will sink like an elevator when he goes down the warp pipes Deluxe. In wonder he jumps with his one foot, then hunches up his shoulders and straightens his body. These small touches can make games which may appear similar on paper, feel like they are worlds apart.

Nintendo’s evergreen titles have always been characterized by smart stylization. The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker The company’s best-known example. But several Switch rereleases will drive home the point in 2023. Pikmin 4, one of the two original Pikmin titles that were released before Switch HTML0, still looks great today thanks to its blend of bright color and natural realism. metroid Prime Remastered The visuals are a noticeable upgrade over the 2002 version, but they still retain a lot of its charm.

This year’s Kirby’s Return in Dream Land deluxe is a great example of the influence that supreme art director has on games. The Nintendo Wii Remaster offers a visual upgrade over the 2011 original platformer but does so through heightened stylization. It’s like playing a cartoon. The standard 2.5D look is now upgraded to brighter colors with bolder lines. It’s as if it were released in a different generation. Kirby Star Ally A Switch game looks like it came out a decade ago Return To Dream Land Deluxe Super Mario Bros Wonder.

It won’t deter Nintendo fans who are clamoring to get a Switch 2 and shouldn’t. The ugly edges in even the most gorgeous Switch games, like wonder, can be corrected by new hardware. It’s not just about graphical quality – look at the consoles. Marvel’s Spider Man 2 Instant loading. It’s time to upgrade your Nintendo hardware the super mario Bros Wonder. We are reminded of how new features don’t make games better. Sometimes a series like Mario needs a creative refresh.
