The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced 968 Junior Engineer (JE) Positions across various engineering departments in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Automobile. The commission has accepted applications between 28 March and 18 April 2024.
Those who have registered successfully await the SSC JE Admit Card 2024 release. Candidates can download their SSC JE Admit Card from ssc.gov.in.
The purpose of SSC JE is to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) in various organizations like Border Roads Organization, CPWD, Central Water Commission, Farakka Barrage Project, etc, for different branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical etc. The selected candidates will be given a Group B Post (Non-Gazetted) in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs 35,400-1,12,400) in the 7th Central Pay Commission.

There will be two papers in this recruitment process, Paper I & Paper II. The admit card will be issued separately for each paper. By login details, candidates can get their admit cards.
SSC JE Selection Process
The commission will take two papers, Paper I and Paper II to assess the candidate’s general awareness, intelligence aptitude and subject-based knowledge. This will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), held at various examination centres nationwide. A document verification phase will follow these examinations. Candidates must carry all documents to verify.

Examination Schedule
This examination is scheduled for 5, 6 or 7 June 2024. Candidates are advised to be prepared for the examination. The selection of the candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in both papers. The total marks obtained in both papers will help prepare the shortlisted candidates’ final merit list.

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Exam Pattern
- This examination will be conducted in two papers.
- Paper I consists of 200 questions with a total of 200 marks.
- Paper II consists of 100 questions with a total of 300 marks.
- Each paper will have 2 hours to be completed.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Details of the SSC JE Admit Card
Candidates appearing for the SSC JE Examination must download and print the admit cards and carry at least two copies to the examination hall. The exam date, exam time and examination centre details are mentioned on the admit card.
It also shows the candidate’s details such as name, roll number, date of birth, gender, category, and some others. It is necessary to check that the details are accurate. Candidates must contact the examination authority immediately if any wrong information is found.

- Visit the commission’s official website i.e. ssc.gov.in.
- Then, go to the “Admit Card” section.
- Find the “SSC JE Admit Card 2024” link.
- Fill in all the required details and submit it to the commission.
- An admit card pdf will be opened on the screen.
- Download it and take a printout of the admit card to carry into the examination hall.
