The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Tier 1 examination for Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Recruitment from 01 July to 12 July 2024. This recruitment drive is a significant gateway for aspiring individuals to secure Higher Secondary-level positions in different government departments.

For this exam, the commission’s examination authority will release admit cards to the eligible candidates at least two weeks before the exam date. The commission has released the official notification to recruit the Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariate Assistant (JSA) and Date Entry Operator (DEO) positions at various government departments in India. Applications for these posts were accepted through the official portal from 08 April to 07 May 2024.

The commission will take a written examination, skill test, document verification, and medical examination to select the most capable individuals for these positions. As the Tier 1 exam date is announced, candidates are now looking for the release of the SSC CHSL Admit Cards. The commission will issue the admit card online at ssc.nic.in.

SSC CHSL Selection Process

To be selected for various positions under the SSC CHSL Examination, take a look at these selection phases:

  • Tier I Written Exam:  The commission will conduct a computer-based test to determine the candidates eligible for the subsequent phase.
  • Tier II Written Exam:  Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in Tier II, a descriptive examination. This test will be administered in both Hindi and English.
  • Tier III Skill Test/ Typing Test:  The skill test or typing test will be conducted for certain posts in the recruitment drive.
  • Document Verification:  Candidates who qualify for all the preceding phases will be invited to the document verification phase.
  • Medical Test: A medical examination will be conducted to check the candidates’ mental ability and other physical conditions after completion of the document verification.

SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam Pattern

  • The SSC CHSL Tier I Exam will be conducted in online mode, it will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • This examination includes several sections with a total of 100 multiple-choice questions.
  • The sum of the total marks is 200.
  • The duration to complete the Tier I will be 60 minutes.
  • 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

SSC CHSL Admit Card Details & Instructions

The SSC CHSL Admit Cards will be issued online only. The board will not send any physical exam tickets to the candidates. After downloading the admit cards, the candidates must check the details printed on the call letter. There will be the candidate’s name, photograph, category, exam name, exam authority name, examination date and timings, etc. The details must be correct in all manners.

If there is a mistake, contact the examination authority for necessary rectification. It is compulsory to produce a valid document in support of the right information. Then, while appearing for the examination, the candidates must bring two passport-size photos, a valid photo identity proof, and the SSC CHSL Call Letter print.

  4. Now, check the filled information and click on the submit button.
  5. Check your admit card.
  6. Download it, and do not forget to take at least two printouts of the admit card.
