Shootings for Fashion Italia and L’Uomo

Shootings for Fashion Italia and L’Uomo

What if two magazines, a female and a male, choose to combine their voices for a conversation on gender in fashion and society?

Fashion Italia and L’Uomo this month are on newsstands together with interviews, stories, complimentary photo shoots. In a game of mirrors between male and female, straddling the pages of the two newspapers.

In search of the perfect double, Alasdair McLellan is Olivier Rizzo they use casting as a starting point for a narration of extreme similarity. Leon Dame is Freja Beha Erichsen, through the lens of the photographer and thanks to the fashion chosen to be symmetrical, from like they are made equal. The result is a double dream: the same images, repeated in pairs.

Here are some shots taken from the two shoots.

From Fashion Italia: nylon trench coat and wool drill, Louis Vuitton; cotton shirt and openwork wool hat, Maison Margiela.
