Saw 10 Is in Active Development at Twisted Pictures

The Saw franchise is not yet over. Not by far. The Jigsaw Killer will return because he discovered that Saw 10 is already in active development at Twisted Pictures. This is particularly noteworthy as the latest entry in the series, Spiral, has not even been published yet. The film is slated to hit theaters next month, however. Twisted Pictures is listed, as is Atomic Monster, the production company founded by James Wan. The original saw was made by Wan, so it makes sense to involve his company. Especially since Wan has been credited as a producer on all films so far. Much like co-creator James Whannell, who wrote the original, which was released in 2004. Lionsgate has distributed all of the previous entries in the series. It goes without saying that they would also be involved.

Details are currently scarce. Spiral, meanwhile, stars Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. He sees Darren Lynn Bousman, who has directed three previous entries in the series, return to the helm. The film focuses on Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) who take charge of an investigation into murders that bring to mind the city’s gruesome past. Zeke unwittingly becomes trapped in a deepening mystery and finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game. Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger wrote the screenplay.

Few franchises of any kind have reached ten admissions. If the next sequel moves forward, it will put Saw in a rare vein. The fast and the furious, Hellraiser, Puppet master, Friday 13, Star Trek and James bond are some of the others that have had at least ten entries over the years.

Saw arrived in 2004 and became a huge hit, earning over $ 100 million worldwide against a comparatively tiny production budget.
