The next big Samsung Unpacked event is scheduled for August 5. As is the trend these days, the unveiling will only be online, following in the footsteps of major virtual events from Microsoft and Apple. It is Samsung’s first format crack. The company just went under the pre-COVID-19 stop wire in February for the launch of the Galaxy S20.
The headliner for next month’s event will undoubtedly be the next version of Samsung’s popular phablet line. The Galaxy Note S20 has already leaked online because Samsung. The most notable occasion was the start of the month, when the company’s Russian website briefly released a copper version of the Note 20 Ultra. For the montage, the invitation for the event presents a copper S-Pen dripping in a large puddle of similar color.
The premium version of the handset sports a folded zoom lens, much like the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Additional leaks seem to confirm a few minor changes in the design of the handsets, including swapping out certain buttons and moving the S-Pen slot to the left of the charging port. Other details will certainly be released by August 5, as that’s exactly how it works. There will likely be a multitude of other devices on the record for the event as well. Samsung likes to pack a lot in Unpacked, after all. Accessories, audio products and portable accessories are all candidates.
In particular, Samsung has also announced that it will host its own virtual event in early September. The company originally planned to attend IFA, but eventually – and understandably – thought better of it. The event of August 5, meanwhile, starts at 10:00 am / 7:00 am PT. It will be available via Samsung.com.
