Royals tattoos: from Kate Middleton to Meghan Markle

Tattoos and Royals are not really two words that would be spontaneous to combine: just consider the very severe real protocol (knows something about it Meghan Markle) that new family members have always had to deal with, learning the right way to dress on particular occasions, how to wear make-up, the right color for nail polish and even what words to avoid. An infinity of rules questionable that, in some cases, partly for distraction, partly for particular situations, partly for healthy rebellion, they are broken (and of course they make the news).

Not all Royals around Europe have strict rules regarding ink on the skin: perhaps because in the distant past 1862 the king Edward VII he created a “precedent” by being engraved first and during a visit to the Holy Land he had a Jerusalem cross drawn on his arm.

Going back to the present day, tattoos seem to have a great charm at court.
The one who seems the most addicted among the real, the model and twenty-four year old it girl Lady Amelia Windsor, distant nephew of the Queen Elizabeth II it has three: a symbol reminiscent of infinity on the ribcage, three animals lined up on the wrist and, on the left shoulder blade, a tiger, perhaps a reference to its character.

How can we not think then of the rebel par excellence, Stephanie of Monaco, who already as a teenager was lovingly called the “wild daughter” by the mother Grace Kelly. In addition to a floral bracelet, the princess has the initial of her name on her back and two dolphins that swim freely on the foot.

Finally, we return to the land of Albione, where family policy would seem to be the most severe, but, surprisingly, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton and even Camilla, their hands were tattooed.
But temporarily, with henna: better not to anger the Queen.
