Rosé delle Blackpink is the new global testimonial of the Saint Laurent maison. Creative director Anthony Vaccarello has chosen the star for his Prefall 2020 advertising campaign. She declares herself incredulous and highly honored for this role.
The link between Saint Laurent and the music continues. The maison has announced a new testimonial for its Prefall 2020 advertising campaign. This is Rosé, singer of the Korean girl band Blackpink. In the black and white shot revealed by the brand, the star poses with an animal shirt. Instead, a video shows her dancing with a one-shoulder lace mini dress and shorts. Behind the lens and the camera is David Sims. The liaison between Saint Laurent and Rosé would have started a year ago: the creative director Anthony Vaccarello had wanted the singer sitting in the front row during his fashion show.
“I still can’t believe I’m a global ambassador for a brand that I thought has always been super cool”, said Rosé to Elle Korea. “It is an honor. Of course I met the creative director Antony Vaccarello and I am learning a lot from his creativity, his competence and his humanity. It is incredible to be able to work with such a wonderful person.”
Rosé boasts more than 25 million followers, and wanted to break the news personally, posting the campaign on her profile. Many comments of joy and compliments from his fans. “You are the queen of style,” reads his account. And again: “It was really exciting to look for ‘Saint Laurent’ and find you.”
She is not the only one in her band to become the face of a fashion brand. Her ‘colleague’ Lisa has been chosen as Celine’s testimonial. The brand unveiled photos – of Hedi Slimane – last week on Instagram.
