“For me, love is an action word,” said Williams during an appearance on MSNBC. “I can’t just sit at home, post on Instagram, etc. and feel like I am doing something to drive this progress forward. This whole situation has to be taken to the next level and for me everything that is needed I will be happy be part of it. I sacrifice myself and my freedom happily at this moment to raise awareness of Breonna Taylor. “
Williams has reportedly been charged with the arrest for disorderly behavior and entering. She was among 87 people arrested during the week’s protest.
Williams says it is especially important to continue making noise after the turmoil on social media has calmed down: “Her life is more important now than ever, if we don’t seek justice for her, if she never gets justice, it is an injustice to all of us African Americans [and] all people. “
