The New School style was probably born in the United States around the early 70s. It is influenced by some features of Old School tattooing and often characterized by heavy outlines, vivid colors, and exaggerated depictions of iconic Traditional subjects.
The artists of New School draw these subjects in a more realistic manner, giving them a more contemporary twists while at the same time making them more vibrant and realistic.

As you can also see looking at our gallery, this style is also influenced by lots of other art forms and media such as cartoons and comic books, graffiti, video games, anime, and more.
