Please note, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the episode of More beautiful life broadcast tomorrow evening on France 3!
Bastien has a lead
Bastien tells Luna that he got into a fight with an English tourist in Thailand because the latter was bothering Sunalee. A fight ensued between them. Shortly after, the police found the tourist dead. Bastien was immediately charged with the murder and sent to prison, until the police found the real perpetrator. Bastien admits to having been traumatized by this experience. He again claims his innocence regarding Elodie’s disappearance and reveals to Luna that he suspects Philippe Talbot of having kidnapped him. The latter is a teacher from the French high school in Bogota with whom Elodie had a passionate relationship two years earlier. But, unable to endure their separation, Philippe began to follow and harass his family who then decided to leave Colombia.
Despite all these explanations, Luna is not reassured. She is delirious about needing time. From a distance, Ariane and Jean-Paul follow their entire conversation. They conclude that Luna is not Bastien’s accomplice. On the other hand, Captain Boher thinks that Bastien invented a lover for his wife in order to exonerate himself. His colleague immediately calls Eric to verify the information.
Eric obtains confirmation that Philippe Talbot was professor of physics in Bogota two years earlier at the same time as the Castels. His criminal record mentions drug possession in Colombia and a speeding ticket under the Prado tunnel dating from 15 days ago. Eric also has an address in Marseille. Rather than go home, Jean-Paul has another idea.
For her part, Luna is touched by the arrival of Pablo who wants her to come back to the hotel to help them. He doubts his father’s theory but Luna reminds him that Bastien has always kept his promises and that there is no need to worry.
In the evening, Luna leaves Bastien a message to tell him that she believes him. While she has just hung up, she is invited by Jean-Paul and Ariane to get into their police car. Captain Boher leaves her two options: either she helps them trap Bastien, or she goes to jail for lying to the police about her affair with him …
Mouss accepts the post of childcare center
In Scotto, Mouss observes Bilal being refused class by Blanche when he arrived right at the bell. The teenager is completely demotivated. Mouss waits until the end of class to speak with Blanche. When he defends Bilal, she retorts that the way he manages his class is none of his business. Mouss then announces that he intends to become a high school CPE and find a solution for Bilal.
Rochat is delighted with Mouss’s decision. If he especially wants to prevent Bilal from dropping out, the principal tells him that there are other urgent cases to deal with. He indicates that being part of the educational team includes new responsibilities. He also suggests that she make sure to keep a certain distance from the students. In the evening, while toasting with Sabrina and Nathan, Mouss realizes the negative aspects of his new position.
Thomas pushes teens to rebellion
Having the morning off due to absent teachers, Kilian and Lola work at the bar. While Thomas encourages them to take advantage of this time to revise their math test, the teens prefer to do it at the end of the day. Lola plans to teach Roland a new vegan recipe, while Kilian hopes to hang out with Betty on the terrace. François is delighted to see the twins refuse his brother’s advice.
Later, Kilian listens to Betty’s love stories. To comfort her, he wants to serve her a marshmallow hot chocolate. Betty’s attention is then drawn to a young girl who sits at a table next door. Reluctantly, Kilian agrees to serve him the same thing so that Betty can hit on her. Indeed, he observes them approach, then kiss. Destabilized, he drops dishes on the floor and incurs the wrath of François, who also accuses him of never making his friends pay.
In the evening, Thomas helps the teens with their homework. He notices that Kilian is not focused. This one complains about the tyrannical character of François at the bar. Thomas convinces them to exercise their right by going on strike.
