Steps to Apply Online for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024

1. Open any web browser and go to the official website of Meghalaya Police Department i.e. https://megpolice.gov.in/ through it.

2. Click on the ‘Notice Board’ tab available on the homepage.

3. Select the ‘Recruitment’ section from the drop-down menu under the notice board tab.

4. Now, click on the ‘Online Application- Recruitment 2024 Process’ link. A new page will appear on the screen.

6. Now, firstly register yourself by entering the details asked such as name, mobile number, etc.

7. Upload necessary documents like passport-sized colored photographs, identity certificate, certificate of SC/ST (if any), certificate of highest qualification, etc.

Application Fees

The candidates are required to pay Rs. 150/- as an application fee while filling out the application form for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024. The application fee amount to be paid for all the posts is the same, every candidate needs to pay the specified fees else the application form will be rejected and the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the selection process. Eligibility Criteria

The parameters that are taken into consideration while evaluating the eligibility of the candidates for various posts under Meghalaya Police Vacancy 2024 are age limit, educational qualifications, and physical measurements. Educational Qualifications

The candidates applying for the posts of driver constable, armed branch constable/battalion constable/constable handyman must have passed class 9th to be eligible for the posts, educational qualifications for other posts have been provided below.

Physical Measurements

To get selected for various posts in the Meghalaya Police Department, the candidate’s physical measurements must be as per those specified by the official authorities. The recruitment body has notified that weight and chest measurements will not be taken into consideration, only the height of the candidates will be measured. For the male candidates belonging to the general category, the height should be 162 cm, and for the female candidates of the general category, it should be 157 cm.

Meghalaya Police Selection Process

For the selection of eligible candidates out of a large number of applications, the recruitment body selects the candidates by conducting a selection process which involves three stages for the posts released under Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024. The first stage involves a physical efficiency or physical measurement test in which the physical fitness of the candidate is evaluated by considering certain norms, selected candidates have to appear for the written examination, and at last, candidates clearing the previous two stages will appear for the personal interview.

Meghalaya Police Exam Pattern

The total marks for the recruitment test for the selection of eligible candidates for UBSI & UB category posts are 450 involving a physical efficiency test of 100 marks.

For AB category posts

To select candidates for the AB category posts, various tests have to be conducted and the total for all of them is 450 out of which there is a personal interview for 50 marks and a written exam for 150 marks.

Candidates appearing for the written examination for UB Sub-Inspector posts for a total of 300 marks including three papers for general English, elementary mathematics & basic science.
