Apply Online Form for MHC Vacancy 2024 

The MHC Vacancy 2024 application process is ongoing at https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/. Applications will be accepted through online mode only, applications submitted through any other mode, viz., by post, courier, RPAD, e-mail, etc. will not be accepted under any circumstances. The last date to apply online for Madras High Court Recruitment is 26th July 2024 (extended). First, the candidates must register themselves on the official website of Madras High Court at https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/ by clicking on “Fresh Registration and Apply Online for the posts of Examiner, Reader, Senior Bailiff, Junior Bailiff,Process Server, Process Writer, Driver, Office Assistant, Cleanliness worker etc., in all the Judicial Districts in the State of Tamil Nadu (Notification Nos.75 to 171/2024).”
  2. After the registration, you will get the username and password to log in to the portal to fill up complete application form.
  3. Click on “Login and Apply Online” link.
  4. Next, enter your personal information and upload scanned copies of passport-size photographs, signatures, education details and experience details on the next page.
  5. Now, upload the necessary documents required for the Madras High Court application as per your category and experiences.
  6. Next, complete the declaration and confirm all your details submitted through the application form.
  7. Now, applications who come in the bracket to pay fees will have the application fee as their next step.
  8. After the fee submission and uploading of your challan on the portal, your application will be finally submitted for the Madras High Court recruitment 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for MHC Recruitment 2024

Driver Candidates must have passed VIII standard AND Must possess a valid Driving License for driving Motor Vehicle issued by a competent authority under the Motor Vehicles Act with a practical experience of driving motor vehicle for a period of not less than five years.
Copyist Attender, Office Assistant Candidates must have passed VIII Standard or its equivalent on the date of notification
Special Qualification-  Must be able to ride a bicycle

Selection Process for MHC Recruitment 2024 

The selection of candidates for Office Assistant, Examiner, Reader, Senior Bailiff, Junior Bailiff/ Process Server, Process Writer, Xerox Operator, Driver, Copyist Attender, and other posts will be based on the Objective Type, Common Written Examination, Skill Test and Viva-voce exam. The final selection of the candidates will be made based on combined marks secured by the candidates in the written exam, skill test, and viva voce.

  • Common Written Examination: The Madras High Court will conduct the written exam for shortlisting the candidates for the next phase of the selection process i.e. Skill Test. Marks obtained in Part A and Part B will be considered together for shortlisting candidates for the skill test.
  • Skill Test (Required for Post): As per the merit list in the written exam in the ratio of 1:5 candidates will be called for a Skill Test to test their knowledge of in-office maintenance, House-keeping, hygiene, household articles maintenance, other household duties including food production, cooking, cleaning, food and beverage service, gardening skills, water conservation, basic principles of guarding the house/office etc. The skill test will be held at Chennai or any other place as decided by the  Judicial Recruitment Cell, High Court, Madras.
  • Viva-voce: As per merit based on the marks secured in the Common Written Examination and Skill Test, will be called for Viva-voce, in a ratio of 1: 3 candidates will be called to appear for the Viva-voce test.

Madras High Court Exam Pattern 2024 for Bailiff and Other Posts

  • The exam consists of an objective type multiple choice OMR-based exam.
  • The common write exam will be divided into 3 parts i.e. Part 1 from General Tamil (Tamil Eligibility Test), Part B consists of topics from General Studies, Mental Ability, and Aptitude.
  • For each correct answer, a 01 mark will be provided.
  • The time duration of the exam will be 03 hours.
