Happy Thursday everyone! how are you today? Tomorrow and today can be very important for many of you. For some of you, your children will be going back to school, and for others you can return to work a few months after working from home or after being on furlough. So good luck, things may seem different but we can all get through it! I have this super beautiful and romantic Mallorca wedding to share with you to help me. Victoria and Lucas love the island, so they decided that this was the perfect place for them. He chose a timeless and elegant color scheme of white and green with lots and lots of candles. The whole day is beautiful and fully occupied by Mihiz Studio
A beautiful summer day with the right amount of Majorcan wind! We wanted to keep the atmosphere simple but romantic, so our decor was white and green with many candles!
Victoria and Lucas were married on 14 June 2019 in Cal Reite, Mallorca, Spain. ‘We choose Mallorca for our marriage because we have grown a lot in the last 7 years. That is why we have friends in Germany and Austria. So we thought of a place where everyone could come easily. We visited Mallorca three times for the holidays and we really liked it! Our planner recommended Cal Reiet, and we visited a lot of places, but Cal Reiet was my favorite! We had about 70 guests and it took about 13 months to plan. ‘
how did they meet
We stayed together for 7 years before getting engaged. We met in school and knew that we wanted to be together and have a family. I don’t know where Lucas decided to ask me, but we stayed home, just the two of us .. and our dog.
One day I came home from work and when I opened the door, the living room was fully decorated with heart balloons and about 200 pictures of me and her! Then he asked me if I would like to marry him. Of course I said yes! After getting the red wine and we cooked together! It was amazing!
How did you allocate your budget?
Luckily we did not have to do economics. We did not want to exaggerate, but we also said that this is a once in a lifetime, so we will get whatever we want.
How did you choose your photographer?
We had a wedding planner, Dukka from Das Hochzitsvirk, and he suggested Ana and David from Mihocistudios. I also knew him from the two previous weddings I attended, and I was familiar with his work!
My dress was by Amy Mae, my shoes by Stuart Weitzman and earrings by Butcher!
Suits & Bridesmaids
The suit was from Ermenegildo Zegna. The clothes are from an online shop called Luells.
Theme or Color Scheme
When I started thinking about the look of our wedding, I thought of plain colors such as white and beige for flowers, glass and silver for table settings, and a little bit of green because of plants and flowers. I used the typical major pattern on our invitations and also on our napkins and some pillows of the place.
White roses and white peonies were the main attraction!
We had lots of candles which created a wonderful romantic atmosphere throughout the day. For the ceremony we had bags with our names on them, filled with cooling sprays and umbrellas. The center piece for the ceremony was a large floral arch with white roses and peonies.
We ate traditional staple food, lots of cheese, Spanish prositutto, staple bread with tomatos.
We had a raw cake! They were made of nuts and dates with fresh cream toppings. One with mango, one with strawberries and the last had blueberry cheesecake!
We had an amazing band Ooh La La who played music during our ceremony and took us to the pool section where live cooking stations awaited us!
Who supplied the stationery?
Our great planner, Das Hochzitscherk.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to South Africa, first on a safari and then we had a few days in Cape Town.
The ceremony was a very special moment of our marriage. We had a lovely speaker touni, she did the ceremony in German but with a Spanish accent which was so lovely and made the ceremony really special for us. One more thing my friends prepared for me, a little surprise. He choreographed all our favorite songs in the past!
Advice for other couples
My advice to future brides and grooms is to not insist on talking to everyone invited, as this was the one thing that really put me under stress. Just focus on you and your husband and try to enjoy the day as much as possible.
