Kate Middleton Shares New Photos of Princess Charlotte Volunteering for Her 5th Birthday
Princess Charlotte is celebrating her fifth birthday tomorrow, and before the milestone anniversary, Kate Middleton and Prince William have shared a series of new portraits of their only daughter.
The photos, which were taken by Kate in April, show the young royal on the Sandringham Estate, where, according to Kensington Palace, “the family helped pack and deliver food packages for isolated retirees in the area.”
Princess Charlotte is currently socially distanced from her family, who would stay in their Anmer Hall country home during the coronavirus crisis.
Like many children her age, Charlotte is homeschooled while the UK is locked out, an attempt that her mother admits can be “difficult”.
“Children have such endurance,” Kate told the BBC in a recent interview. “You pitch a tent, take it down again, cook, cook. You are getting to the end of the day – they had a great time, but it’s amazing how crowded you can be in a day, c ‘is on.”
In addition to her schoolwork and her pastry adventures, Charlotte also kept in touch with her loved ones by video call.
“I think your father and my parents and our families and things like that really enjoyed staying in touch with the kids because they know it’s really difficult,” said Kate, acknowledging that “it’s getting a little hectic, I’m not going to lie, with the two-year-old child [Prince Louis]. “
William nodded, confirming that Prince Louis often hung up the calls, perhaps before they were finished.
“For some reason, he sees the red button and still wants to press the red button,” he said.
