Pittsburgh steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster Gave fans a Christmas present in Week 16. He caught a game-winning touchdown pass against the Indianapolis Colts, giving the Steelers a 28-24 win and locking in the AFC North title. But a few days ago, Smith-Shuster made an even more meaningful gift.
Through the JuJu Foundation, Smith-Shuster paid gifts worth more than $ 25,000 to needy families.
The Foundation worked with Layaway volunteers for Pay Away and Burlington stores in Pittsburgh, PA and Compton, California. Paid Christmas gifts and essential products for over 170 families.
“I’m really blessed to be able to give back to families in Pittsburgh and California during the holidays,” Smith-Shuster said of the donation. “We hope that the payment of these trimmed balances will create a sense of relief and uplift the spirit of all these families.”
The wide receiver is no stranger to helping others. He regularly surprises fans and families facing difficult times, although he can use his wealth and stature.
Established in 2019, the JuJu Foundation is a “non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth initiatives and lifting the spirits of those in need.”
On the field, Smith-Schuster is making headlines for his viral Tickcock dance on the logo of opposition teams. Yet he is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure that the holiday is a special time for needy families.
It’s great to see a player giving back like this. Watch a video shared by JuJu Foundation below.
