Judge dismisses US women’s national soccer team’s equal pay claims

Players’ spokesman Molly Levinson has said she will appeal the decision.

“We are shocked and disappointed with today’s decision, but we will not give up our hard work for equal pay,” said Levinson. “We are confident in our case and determined in our commitment to ensure that girls and women who practice this sport are not considered less important simply because of their gender. We have learned that there are enormous obstacles to change; we know it takes bravery, courage and persistence to stand up to them. We will appeal and continue. Words cannot express our gratitude to all those who support us. ”
