Italian luxury hotels offer free stays to doctors

 

The hotels will offer free stays to all those who are struggling on the front lines to deal with the pandemic

After the initiative promoted by a luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast, another seven large families of the Italian hotel industry decided to join forces for offer hospitality, solidarity, and humanity to all those who fought on the front lines during the Coronavirus emergency. A beautiful initiative launched by some of the god’s big names symbol of high hospitality made in Italy who despite the moment of the crisis have decided to open the doors of their hotels as a sign of gratitude to those who work tirelessly every day to save lives.

Behind the solidarity project – imagined as “the holiday that will come”, with a view to looking to the future with hope and courage – are the Sciò family with the Hotel Il Pellicano in Porto Ercole, the Costa family with the Hotel La Perla di Corvara, the Melpignano family with Borgo Egnazia, the Gualandi family with the Hotel Cristallo in Cortina, the Varese, Rossi and Bertolini families with the Hotel Royal Sanremo, the Moretti family with the Andana and the Alberta and the Madonna family with the Hotel Byron in Forte dei Marmi and the Plaza e de Russie in Viareggio.

As soon as conditions make it possible, hotels will offer intensive care units to doctors, resuscitators and nurses free stays of 1 or 2 nights (from Sunday to Thursday) to be agreed at the time of booking directly with the booking offices of each hotel. Medical staff can book until November 2020 – excluding the period from 13 to 26 August – in only one hotel participating in the initiative.
