The animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series opens the story to a whole new audience. While the comics ended a few years ago after 144 issues, the new series on Amazon Prime Video updates and tells the story in a new format. Invincible made several changes to the comics, but Kirkman didn’t hesitate to build the massive universe that encompasses the story.

As readers of the comic book series know, Kirkman loves to include Easter eggs or seemingly random moments or characters that get paid later. These details can come in all parts of Mark Grayson’s life. Invincible So far, focuses on Mark’s early months as a superhero and struggles to balance his new hero lifestyle with his regular life. This includes time to hang out with friends, hang out with Amber Bennett, and complete her homework before graduation. It’s only Invincible Episode 5 that Mark’s high school principal made history, and with it came the best reference on the show to date.
