Virtual walk among the tulips at the Keukenhof botanical garden in Holland. (Almost) end of quarantine dream: walking in the midst of an expanse of tulips. Get out of the four walls of the house to let your eyes fill with colors and scents. A lucky Dutch photographer, Albert Dros, was able to do it, entering alone in the Keukenhof botanical park (near the city of Lisse, in South Holland, about 35 km south-west of Amsterdam) during the period of maximum flowering of tulips. The shots, which he posted on his Facebook profile, went viral.

Dros writes: “As a true Dutchman, I’m a big fan of our flowers. And as a landscape photographer, I enjoy our beautiful spring every year always finding time to photograph flowers and show the beauty of Dutch flowers to the whole world. Many of you probably know the famous Keukenhof, the most beautiful tulip garden in the world. Millions of tourists visit it every year. That’s a lot, considering that the garden is only open in the spring. Every year, a team of gardeners works hard to make the garden more beautiful than ever. So also this year. This year is special. Keukenhof is closed, for the first time in 71 years. But that doesn’t mean there are no flowers. On the contrary, the flowers are incredible and receive the same attention and care as ever. Even without people, the nature and the spectacle of the garden continue ”.

Three Fundamental Fascinations In Lanzarote

Yes, this year there will be no one to walk “physically” among the avenues bordered with tulips, but thanks to Dros we can do it virtually, enjoying the colors, the lights, the shapes of the flowers and, why not, promising ourselves to plan, a day, a trip to Keukenhof.
