How to Give Back on Earth Day

If we have been taught anything in the past few months, the world and our decisions are more closely connected than we think. Although this has been a stressful and tragic time, we have also seen people around the world come together to slow the pandemic’s progression and save lives. It’s really nice to see.

Ordering at home also had some unforeseen side effects. Due to the fact that fewer people are traveling, the earth had the chance to heal itself. Cities loaded with smog can now normally see views that have not been visible for decades. The waterways of Venice have cleared their memories for the first time. With fewer people, nature can return to its former glory. This shows us that we humans may have the ability to make changes that can lead the fate of our world in a positive direction.

As we look forward to going outside again, we need to consider the changes that need to be made to save the beautiful planet that we call home. The situation is far from hopeless, and if we all work together as in the past few weeks, we can create a world that will be fun for generations to come.
Here at FreshTrends we work hard to make our contribution. On Earth Day, we are again donating part of all sales made on April 22 to Pure Earth. So if you’ve seen one of our adorable cartilage earrings, April 22nd is the right time to buy it.

Who is pure earth

Pure Earth’s mission is to reduce disease-causing pollution in poor communities. All over the world, people, including children, are dying from the effects of urban pollution. As it turns out, the management of these pollutants can be done with the right res.

Pure Earth works with local communities to cleanse the toxic pollutants and teaches them how to maintain cleaner practices in the future. In Third World countries, cleanup operations often jeopardize the livelihood of the local population. Pure Earth helps communities maintain cleaner practices without jeopardizing their work and helps create a happier life for everyone.

If you’d like to learn more about Pure Earth, host a webinar series on Earth Day that covers topics such as relationships between global health and pollution, environmental health projects, and more. Find out more here.

Why FreshTrends is excited to support Pure Earth

The jewelry industry has a dark past when it comes to sustainable practices and human rights issues. While we do our part by only using diamonds without cruelty, we know there is always more to do. We love to support missions like Pure Earth because such efforts promote sustainability, which helps poor communities now and shows the way to a better and cleaner future for everyone.

How can you help

Collect garbage on the go

Depending on where you live, you may be able to go for a walk (as long as you are at least one meter away from others). If you do, bring a garbage bag and some gloves, and pick up the garbage as you move on. Make sure you use your gloves properly so that you don’t contaminate each other, do not touch your face, wash your hands thoroughly, and thoroughly clean the surface you touch when you get home. We want to stay safe while we save the world.

Try to limit your plastic waste

Although we have seen positive environmental effects in the past few weeks, the pandemic has increased our waste significantly. In many supermarkets, you can no longer bring your reusable bags from home for fear of bringing the virus. Starbucks and other companies do not accept reusable cups. We now pack items – such as cutlery to take away – individually in plastic. In addition, some areas have temporarily stopped recycling services to slow the spread of COVID-19.

This is why we have to try our best to reduce our individual waste until things return to normal. Save your recycling until the recycling centers are open again. When ordering to take away, ask that the cutlery and any other items you don’t need are left out. Try to select items that are not individually packaged and instead clean them at home.

Go free from cruelty

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. But for some, diamonds are a nightmare. Unethical mining practices lead to unfortunate working conditions, terrorism and pollution. The next time you buy a diamond, make sure it is cruelty free so that you can enjoy your new diamond body jewelry if you know it comes from ethical s.
