- Honor Watch is unveiling the GS Pro, a rugged smartwatch with 25-day battery life in normal use.
- Also you can route home without a phone.
- It is also offering Watch ES focused on fashion and fitness, including a personal virtual coach.
Honor’s smartwatch has had trouble standing out, but it may change with two models being introduced at IFA 2020.
The Honor Watch GS Pro is an enthusiast model, designed for outdoor enthusiasts, with MIL-STD 810G heat, shock and water resistance to a reinforced polycarbonate (read: plastic) body up to 164 feet deep. However, its actual draw may be its battery life. The Restwear has a 700 mAh power pack which is good for 25 days of battery life – you can theoretically stick through a camping trip without having to worry about a recharge.
You can expect to track blood oxygen saturation from over 100 workout modes, three snow sport modes (downhill skiing, cross-country, and snowboarding), and a SpO2 monitor. This is especially good for hikers with a “route back” option that will help you to return your route without a phone call. You are unlikely to be lost, then.
The screen is 1.39-inch AMOLED dial ‘only’, but it has been given stainless steel bezel to give a high-quality feel. Honor will offer the device in suitably exterior-oriented colors including camo blue, charcoal black, and a rock-inspired marl white.

The Honor Watch ES, meanwhile, is a “fitness fashion”, wearable for everyday exercise. It also has 164 feet of depth support and a SpO2 sensor, but Honor is more interested in directing your workouts with your first-Honor Personal Virtual Coach using animations to help you complete routines and entire courses Does. There are a total of 95 workout modes.
The performance will be more pleasing to the eye than the GS Pro. The Watch ES dials a 1.64-inch AMOLED with a relatively thin side bezel (0.95 mm, or 0.037 inch) and always on-watch faces. Battery life is ‘just 10 days’, but it should be enough to get through an active week with some headroom. The watch will come in meteorite black, coral pink and Icelandic white colorways.
Both the Honor Watch GS Pro and Honor Watch ES will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain from 7 September. The more premium Watch GS Pro is priced at € 249.99 / £ 249.99 (~ $ 296), while the Watch ES is more affordable at € 99.99 / £ 99.99 (~ $ 117).
