Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH, erstwhile known as HBSE) conducts the Secondary School (Class 10th) examination every year, an important milestone in students’ educational journey across the state. For the session 2023-24, these important examinations were concluded on March 26, 2024.
The examination started on 27th February with the subject Punjabi/Sanskrit etc., and concluded on 16th March with the subject Social Science. This period was important for the students as they were ready to showcase their knowledge and skills in various subjects. The results of these examinations play an important role in determining the academic and professional paths available to students in the future.
The exams have been completed. Soon, the Haryana School Education Board will move towards declaring the results of these examinations. The academic session 2022–23 examination results were declared on 16 May. Similarly, the board is expected to declare the result in May this year. BSEH 10th Exam Overview
According to the reports, 3,03,869 students appeared in the annual BSEH Class 10th Exams. The exams were structured and systematic, following a pre-defined schedule to ensure a smooth examination process for everyone involved. The board took extensive measures to maintain the integrity and fairness of the exams by implementing strict supervisory and security protocols.
HBSE Secondary Exam – Qualifying Marks
Qualifying marks are an important aspect of the examination process, which are the minimum marks required to pass the examination. While BSEH does not clearly prescribe cut-off marks to pass the secondary examination, obtaining at least 33% grades in each subject and passing overall is necessary. Cut-off trends can give information about the difficulty level of the exam and help students set realistic expectations.
BSEH Class 10th Previous Year Results
In 2023, the HBSE Class 10th exams were conducted from February 27 to March 31 in the traditional pen-and-paper mode, followed by special examinations until May 1. The result was declared on May 16, 2023, at around 3:30 pm. A total of 2,96,329 students appeared in the HBSE 10th final examination, with a passing percentage of 65.43%. Out of the 1,49,439 boys who appeared in the exam, 91,772 passed, while out of the 1,36,986 girls who appeared, 95,629 passed. Other statistics are given below:

Students can check their BSEH 10th Result from the official portal using the below-given simple steps:
- Go to bseh.org.in, the official portal of the Board of School Education Haryana.
- Look for the ‘News’ section or a direct link stating something like “Secondary Examination Result”.
- Click on the Secondary Result link there.
- Enter your roll number and date of birth correctly.
- Once you submit the necessary information, your result will be displayed.
- It’s advised to download and print a copy for future reference.
