- The battery on the Google Pixel 5 battery could be a lot bigger than the Pixel 4’s battery, destroying previous rumors.
- It could also have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
- It could also have a larger display than the Pixel 4a.
Google’s Pixel 5 may be more of a champion for longevity than some rumors suggest.
Android Central Sources claim that the new top smartphone will have a “considerably” larger battery than what we saw in the Pixel 4. These rumors of a humble 3,080 mAh power supply are “totally false,” the report said. The tipsters didn’t say what the Google Pixel 5’s battery capacity would be, but it does imply that the Pixel 4’s poor battery life won’t carry over to its successor.
Google Pixel 5: Other Rumored Specs
The leak also sheds more light on the potential performance of the Pixel 5. While the Snapdragon 765G has been rumored for a while, the new sources also said the Pixel 5 comes with 8GB of RAM (versus 6GB in the Pixel 4a) and 128GB Memory would be shipped. When it comes to RAM, it would have a distinct advantage over its lower counterpart, even if it didn’t compete with the latest flagships’ 12GB or more.

You may also see a larger 6-inch display compared to the previously reported 5.8-inch screen (comparable to the Pixel 4a). However, it wouldn’t be as big as the 6.2-inch panel that is believed to come on top of the Pixel 4a 5G. An expected refresh rate of 90 Hz would provide a performance advantage over the 60 Hz pixel 4a.
It’s still not sure when the Pixel 5 will ship or how much it would cost. Android Central suggested it might arrive as early as September 30th. Cost could be the number one factor in the Pixel 5’s appeal – it might be tempting if it’s not much more expensive than the $ 499 Pixel 4a 5G. However, it can have a tougher time when the price gets too close to the high-end phones.
