The first challenge of Fortnite Season 5, Week 8 that might get you into trouble is the one that requires you to destroy boxes of apples and tomatoes at the Orchard Farmers Market. It is by no means difficult, but you have to know where to go. The area is not marked on the map as one of the larger hubs. It’s also a bit tricky because the product boxes are limited, meaning other players can destroy them before you do. If this happens, you will need to restart.
In this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to know to complete the challenge. Here’s how to destroy boxes of apples and tomatoes at The Orchard Farmers Market in Fortnite.
Where to find boxes of apples and tomatoes at the Orchard Farmers Market
The Orchard Farmers Market is located north of the Colossal Coliseum and has a giant sign on top that reads “Farmers Market – Locally Grown, Always Fresh”. It has three main stalls in front of it which all include various commodities like bananas and tomatoes. Ideally, you should head to this location as soon as you jump off the battle bus. In our experience, it wasn’t too crowded here, despite the location being home to a new weekly challenge. In fact, we were the only ones who landed there when we tried it.
See the map image above for reference.
The challenge is worded in such a way that you might think you have to destroy the tomatoes and apples, but we completed it by destroying only the tomatoes. It appears to be another case of a poorly worded challenge – which is not uncommon in Fortnite. Head to the stand on the right side and you will see four boxes of tomatoes on the counter. You can destroy them with your pickaxe if you wish.
There are also more tomatoes inside the farmers market, although we couldn’t test to see if they count. If for some reason you arrive at the farmers market and there is another player there, you can either do your best to eliminate them before they take the tomatoes first, or run to inside the building to see if the boxes there will give you credit for completing. the challenge. Otherwise, just try again in a new match.
If you have any difficulties, we recommend that you come with a team who can watch you while you destroy the product boxes. Remember that only apples or tomatoes will allow you to progress towards completing the challenge. After destroying three of them, you’ll earn credit for completing the quest, as well as 20,000 XP. Now you will be ready to move on to the next farm related challenge which will send you through a cornfield of Steel Farm.
