Floyd Mayweather’s Car Collection | Celebrity Net Worth
There are few (if any) things in this world that Floyd “Money” Mayweather has neither the money to collect nor the desire to show off. But his collection of cars is probably the most impressive of his many assets, and here we have a quick breakdown of some of the best, and, of course, the Very expensive the cars that make it up.
Car collection for Mayweather began in earnest in 1996, shortly after her loss from a semifinal match at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After the loss, Mayweather went into professional boxing and, according to history, he bought a 1996 Mercedes 600S with his first earnings. And supposedly, this first car bought when he became a professional boxer is still in his garage, a rare demonstration on the sentimental side of Mayweather. As his fortune continued to grow throughout his career, he continued to collect various other Mercedes cars, including a beautiful SLS AMG with futuristic gull-wing doors. Here he races in one:
Of course, Mayweather eventually developed a more expensive taste in cars, as well as everything else. He owns three Bugatti Veyrons, among the fastest cars money can buy. Lots of money, though: In an article on his official Instagram account, Mayweather said he spent $ 6.5 million on two Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesses, one in white and one in black:
Mayweather has also developed a taste for Ferrari brand automobiles. Among those in his collection, at one point or another, are a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider, a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, a Ferrari 430 Scuderia and a $ 3.2 million Ferrari Enzo. Other car brands that have caught his collector’s eye are Rolls-Royce, such as his 2016 Rolls-Royce Phantom. There are even rumors that he once bought not one, not two, but three Rolls-Royce Ghosts for a girlfriend on a seemingly special occasion. It also has a few Lamborghini models, including an Aventador LP Roadster and a custom Murcielago with (among other features) its own name on the hood.
Only Mayweather himself could say what could be the jewel of his collection, but a likely choice is the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita (photo above) which he bought for 4.8 MILLION DOLLARS in 2015. But he then sold a few years later – here he takes it for a last ride before dropping it:
These are just a few of the cars that Floyd “Money” Mayweather bought and / or sold during his almost 25 years as a car collector. It’s clearly something he’s very proud of, and you can check out Money itself in a compilation video below showing some of the different times it has wanted to show parts of it:
