A smart Elden Ring fan used a neural network computer program to generate a possible final boss, using released Elden Ring material.
While we still don’t know much about From Software’s upcoming title, Elden ring, fans grab pretty much any info they can get their hands on these days. This includes the type of enemies and bosses that will be included in the game once it is released, with a talented fan taking it in hand and making their own predictions about what the final boss will be. Elden ring could be.
News from Elden ring is few, as almost nothing about the game has been released since E3 in 2019. While plenty of footage has been leaked recently, much of the game is still unknown. Players are looking forward to the game based on the developer’s previous titles, such as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark souls and Bloodborne, as well as the addition of famous novelist George RR Martin, known for writing the Game of thrones series.

The online Elden ring The community has shared their theories on what the game’s final boss will be and created their own models. The last one, by Reddit user Geldoph, is a little different from the others. This pattern was created using neural networks, instead of just one person’s imagination. Geldoph used the small amount of information currently available to produce the image, drawing material from the program to generate a possible boss based on the type of designs seen so far. The image that was published on the Elden ring subreddit was generated by a neural network, creating the gruesome image below.
Neural networks are computer systems that follow the same concept as the human brain, connected by a biological network of neural systems. This type of system is often used by computers when developers need to simulate learning to accomplish tasks. One of these tasks is to generate images based on text input, or vice versa, where a program identifies an image with a text source. Here, the program only had a small pool of resources to use to generate a possible monster boss.
While it is certainly possible that some aspect of the generated image is correct, there is no way to know until Elden ring is finally published or the boss is previewed by the developers. This type of creation needs to be addressed more often, as the possibilities for creativity posed by neural networks have yet to be explored on a large scale. Maybe in the future an entire game will be generated by a neural network.
