Dolce & Gabbana presented the new men’s spring summer 2021 collection with a live fashion show in Milan, housed in the park ofHumanitas hospital of which the brand has long been an ally.
The new collection Dolce & Gabbana man live view in Milan is a tribute to Italian creativity and genius manifested in the famous hotel in Sorrento, Park of the Princes. Designed in the 1960 by Gio Ponti, the hotel stands on the same ground where an ancient noble villa stood, and it represents the meeting of art, design and fashion right there where the shades of blue crystal clear waters merge with the whiteness of white of the imposing structure overlooking the Bay of Naples.
The meeting between modernity and neoclassicism becomes the recurring aesthetic language throughout the collection that alternates geometric designs, and linear inspired by 60s pottery, printed by neoclassical statues and busts kept in the park of the Sorrento hotel, in a stylistic narration full of contrasts harmonized by the infinite shades of sky and sea. We find the geometries of the ceramics in the form of all over printed or patchwork designs, or transformed into monogram motifs with the initials DG.
The silhouettes of the Dolce & Gabbana men’s spring summer 2021 fashion show alternate large volumes and comfortable, that evoke the holiday atmosphere, with perfect or asymmetrical overlays that characterize the tailored suits and the many denim look. Fabrics and materials with different textures recall Italian craftsmanship and the mastery of Made in Italy.
With this event, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana want to continue the collaboration with Humanitas University that the brand has been supporting for some time through the grant of scholarships and, since February 2020, by financing the research on Covid-19 coordinated by the Director Alberto Mantovani through a fundraising activity with INTESA San Paolo also subsidized by the brand’s donations and the proceeds obtained from the online sale of the famous Dolce & Gabbana Devotion Bag.
