Solidarity initiative of CNMI
In April 2020 Dolce & Gabbana participated in the solidarity initiative of CNMI “Italy, we are with you”, which made it possible to donate respiratory machines and other medical materials to the Civil Protection, alongside this individual project to support the fight against the pandemic.
“We have always been in love with Italy and all its beauties and resources, and we have invested our energy to support it and make it known to the world. Fashion needs, now more than ever, strong positivity and union. At a particular moment like this, we thought it was important and right to join forces. We supported the Camera di Moda “Italia We Are With You” project and then we chose to be part of the Digital Fashion Week.
These collaborations brought us closer to Camera Della Moda and returning to be part of it was a natural consequence. We hope that together we can look to the future together, giving fashion the respect and attention it deserves, both to support the production chain and because fashion itself is one of the highest expressions of Italian creativity. “, commented the designers Domenico Dolce is Stefano Gabbana.
Dolce & Gabbana’s is a great return
“Dolce & Gabbana’s is a great return, which strengthens our system and our association. It occurs in a difficult moment for fashion and is the result of the strong bond that stylists have with our country. Today more than ever it is important to be united to create a system and safeguard our industry unique in the world. ” comments the President of the National Chamber of Fashion, Carlo Capasa.
“Domenico and Stefano, in addition to the great generosity they have shown in this pandemic, have always placed a privileged relationship with our country at the center of their work, promoting it through their creativity and showing unique attention to the supply chain. Thanks to their sensitivity they responded positively to our invitation in the belief that at this moment it is important to give a strong message of availability to the system by strengthening the value of the community through a symbolic and real contribution to the Italian fashion industry. “
