Before jumping into Call of Duty: Warzone , you’ll want to make sure your settings are adjusted correctly to suit your playstyle. It won’t work as well if the settings are wrong (or at least wrong for you ), so take the time to experiment with them to get them perfect. In Warzone , there are a ton of settings you can play with and sometimes it can get overwhelming.
Fortunately, we are here to help. In this guide, we will list all the recommended settings for console and PC platforms. Please note that these are the settings that work best for us. Your tastes may differ, so use our guide as a starting point and adjust if necessary. This guide is updated as of the new Warzone Pacific update.
Here are the best settings for Call of Duty: Warzone .

The best configuration for the console
A large portion of the Warzone player base can be found on console, so let’s go over our recommended settings for those platforms. Whether you’re on Xbox One or PS4, the menus look the same, so reflect what we have and adjust accordingly. Many of these settings come down to personal taste, so if something doesn’t work for you, by all means, change it to better suit your needs.
One thing we highly recommend is using the tactical control scheme. This changes the melee button to crouch/prone and allows you to “drop shots” at enemies, which basically means you crouch while shooting to take out the other player. This is a very effective tactic, but if you need to fight in close quarters more often, you should consider sticking to the default settings.
Other than that, we recommend using a lower sensitivity (around five or so), so you can be more precise with your shots. If five is too low for you, consider increasing it to seven. The higher the sensitivity you can adjust to, the faster you can line up a shot and turn, but the harder it will be to maintain accuracy.
Lastly, we highly recommend using the square minimap instead of the circle. The reason for this is that the square map actually shows a little more. The image above shows a comparison. It’s a small change, but when you’re in the Warzone , every little bit helps.

The best configuration for PC
On PC, you have many more options than on console. There are settings to adjust your frame rate and resolution and even nuanced options you may not have considered. For the most part, we’ll go over each of those settings below. There are certain submenus that we don’t go into because they should be left at the default settings. Other than that, we’ll list our recommended settings for everything else.
Some settings may apply to you only based on your preferences. You may like to listen to the in-game music while playing the game. We find it distracting, but you may feel differently. Use these recommended settings as a guide and adjust them to your liking.
In the following tables, you will see our specific configuration for a keyboard and mouse control configuration. We prefer to use this option, particularly for shooter games, because the keyboard and mouse give you more substantial precision. That said, if you are a loyal controller user, you can follow the settings we have set in the controller section for the consoles above.

Keyboard shortcuts
Setting keybinds in Warzone gives you a bit of flexibility and opportunity for customization. How you choose to set it up really depends on your gaming technique because you can bind any key that helps you. If you’re not sure what to join, we recommend sticking with the default. Beyond that, you can also try attaching tactical grenades to your mouse (if possible) to allow you more control when using stuns, flash grenades, smoke, or other equipment.

Details and textures
Finally, you may want to specifically prioritize resolution or frame rate based on your ultimate goals for the game. For example, if you want to have the biggest advantage while you are in the game, then you should put the frame rate first (which we will detail below). If you prefer to have a game that looks visually stunning, then you may need to increase both the resolution and frame rate, at least as high as your system can consistently handle.
