Business of Fashion, Textiles and Technology Program: the winners

Ten of the more innovative UK brand managers have been selected as winners of the program Business of Fashion, Textiles and Technology, wanted by the University of the Arts London in collaboration with Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) with the Creative Industries Clusters Program (CICP) which aims to support productivity. Over eighty applications led to a first selection of thirteen semifinalists to whom mentoring programs were provided, as well as seminars and company training to develop the initial concept of the projects in a real business plan. These plans were then presented to a panel of experts who selected i ten finalists.

The prizes, for a total of one million and two hundred thousand pounds have been assigned to: to: Ananas Anam, Anna Glover, AWAYTOMARS, Blackhorse Lane Ateliers, Chip[S] Board, Doppelhaus, Elvis & Kresse, Segura, Tengri, Tibor. In addition, each winner will receive support from BFFT team.

The awarded projects include various areas, from the development of bio-materials, non-woven fabrics, a global design crowdsourcing platform, sustainable surface finishing techniques, to digital solutions to increase transparency and sustainability in the sector.

The Business of Fashion, Textiles and Technologies support program consists of a personalized support package to allow small and medium-sized enterprises in the fashion, textile and technology sector to have access to the skills and resources necessary to develop the new generation of products and sustainable services. During 2020 and 2021 the BFFT will launch new support funds to continue on this project.
