Using Rags

Start by getting some old rags and placing them in a bowl containing some water and glass cleaner. If you don’t have any old rags lying around, then just get some old towels. Now get some water and glass cleaner into a spray bottle or some kind of cleaner bottle.

Next, pour the glass cleaner into the bowl of water and allow it to sit for a few minutes. After it has been sitting for a while, pour out the water. The next step is to rinse the area with warm water so that it is thoroughly clean.

Now put the towel or the rag into a container of hot water, and let it soak in the soap. Once it is soaked, then you can put it on the area where you want to remove the border and scrub it off with the wet towel or rag. Do this in one direction and make sure you are gentle.

Some people think that using some good old rags will not do the trick. The fact is that rags can actually scratch the wallpaper. So instead of using rags, make sure you use old towels or cloths, and use a microfiber towel for the “ripping” process.

After you have cleaned the area that you want to remove the border from, rinse off the old rags with some cold water. And now put the towels on the area again and repeat the process a few times until you are done.

Don’t worry about hurting the wallpaper with the rags as this process does not damage the actual wallpaper. As a matter of fact, there may be some small areas of the wallpaper that may be sticking out where you cut it.
