One of the more eye catching and interesting garage devices we have tested, the Gagger 2 is a two-in-camera and easy door control. This $ 150 surveillance camera attaches to the bottom of your garage door opener via a magnet and controls your garage door from the Aldida app for smartphones (Android and iOS). The camera includes 1080p color and night vision video and two-way audio, although a $ 5-per-month subscription is required for clip storage.
The control works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa through your wi-fi connection, for commands to open and close your garage. An upgrade over the previous model adds a magnetic base that stabilizes the camera feed when you open or close the garage. If you really want to add video surveillance and be able to watch and talk at your garage location, then this tool is for you. You can also get notifications and control it remotely or through sound assistants, the garger works well.

The Nexx garage is a smart garage controller that adds skill to easily open and close your normal garage door. You’ll get voice commands, remote access, and auto opening through the Nexx Garage app for smartphones (iOS and Android) without the inclusion of the IFTTT applet. Although the Nexus Garage is not as widely integrated as Chamberlain’s MyQ system, there is no charge for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility.
The Nexx is the largest negative sensor in the garage that you will need to detect the position of the door. Two sensors connect to your garage door and the wall above it and for best results they should be placed within 1/4-inch of each other. The top sensor in this pair is wired, and adding more wires to any room is something I don’t like. The Nexx Garage is great for anyone who wants compatibility with simple, fuss-free smart and voice-activated assistants Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
