This test was scheduled to be held on 13 April 2024, but due to elections and candidate’s requests, this test was postponed and conducted on 25 May 2024. It was organised to hire eligible individuals for 38 Deputy Educational Officer positions.
APPSC Selection Phases & Exam Overview
The selection of the candidates is based on three phases: Screening, Main Examination and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). Those who will be qualified for all selection phases will be able to get the DEO positions. The screening test and main examination are compulsory for getting these positions. Screening Test
This test comprised 150 questions on General Studies and Mental Ability. The sum of the total marks was 150. Each correct answer carried a 01 mark, and 1/3rd marks were deducted for each incorrect answer. This test was qualifying in nature. To complete this test, candidates had 150 minutes.
Main Examination
The main examination will be conducted online, a Computer-Based Test. There will be three papers conducted by the commission. A total of 450 objective-type questions will be asked in this examination, totalling 450 marks. 01 mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The duration to complete each paper will be 150 minutes.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
This test will be organised to check the candidate’s Proficiency in Office Automation using Computers and Associated Software. This test comprises 100 marks, candidates have to complete this test within 60 minutes.
Result Preparation Process for APPSC Screening Test
The result of the APPSC Screening Test will be released officially soon. It will be based on the candidate’s responses, and the commission will analyze the candidate’s examination performance to prepare the final result accordingly. The result assesses the candidate’s personal information, registration number, qualifying marks, etc.
APPSC DEO Cut-Off Marks – Minimum Qualifying Marks
The cut-off marks are known as Minimum Qualifying Marks. These marks are set as the passing level of the examination. Those who will get equal or higher marks, then the MQM will be shortlisted. Here are the Minimum Qualifying Marks as per the candidate’s category:

Andhra Pradesh PSC Merit List – Scorecard
The commission will release the merit list for the APPSC Screening Test officially. It shows the top-scoring candidate’s name. Those who will be shortlisted can download their scorecards from the commission’s official website for further selection phase. The merit list shows the name, roll number, qualifying status and total marks obtained by the candidates.
How to Check the APPSC DEO Result 2024?
Candidates should have their application registration number and date of birth to access the result. By following these steps, candidates can check their results officially:
- Go to the official website of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, i.e. psc.ac.gov.in.
- Now, click on the “APPSC Website” section.
- A new APPSC website portal will be opened in front of you.
- Look for the “Results” section on the new page and find the link to check the “APPSC DEO Result”.
- Fill in the login credentials accurately.
- The result will be displayed on the screen as a PDF file format.
- Download the PDF and take a printout of the result for further reference.
