But first, a reminder about season 1: Dead for me follows Jen (played by Christina Applegate) while she deplores the loss of her husband. While attending a pain support group, she meets Judy (Linda Cardellini), and the two women quickly bond. Jen even invites Judy to live with her family at her house – then all sorts of secrets are starting to come out.
The Netflix show is emotional, witty and edgy, and it has met all kinds of positive reviews from casual viewers and critics. On April 10, Netflix revealed that the show would return to the streaming service on Friday, May 8.

During the June 3 FYSee panel, Netflix confirmed that Christina and Linda had both signed up for Dead for me season 2. And that makes sense: their character’s scripts are – obviously – at the heart of the series. In fact, filming ended months ago, according to Linda’s December 2019 Instagram post.
What else, Variety reported that Natalie Morales (the actress, not the Today show star) will join the hit series as a recurring character named Michelle. According to the newspaper, Michelle is described as “ironic and down to earth” and has a “laid back charm and an infectious spirit”. She establishes a link with Judy at the assisted living center where Michelle’s difficult mother lives.

Is there Dead for me spoilers for season 2 yet?
Season 1 ends with what many fans have called serious cliffhanger: After discovering that Judy was responsible for the death of her husband, Jen is standing on the body of Steve – ex-fiancé de Judy – with a gun in his hand. Yes.
Last May, the creator of the show, Liz Feldman, I didn’t know if Netflix would give her a season 2.
