After successful collaborations in the past, german sportswear giants Adidas have teamed up with Japanese menswear label White Mountaineering once again to bring us a capsule collection featuring elevated technical products and sneakers.
Releasing a range of coats, outerwear and heavy cargo pants in the absolute midst of summer is a questionable marketing technique, but if anyone can pull it off I’m sure Adidas and White Mountaineering are strong contenders.
The collection includes a hooded windbreaker, a Firebird track jacket, shirts, cargo pants and of course, two brand new NMD iterations. There’s also a new style of the Adidas staple Stan Smith releasing. Focusing on practicality and function this collection definitely fits in well with the upcoming “techwear” trend.
The Adidas Originals x White Mountaineering trail pack is perfect for the colder months that will be upon us before we know it. The highly engineered garments are ideal for protecting yourself from the wind and rain that’ll no doubt plague us again here in London.
The NMD CS2 features panelled construction and dual branding via the three stripes across the toe box. The two companies have also reworked the now classic NMD R2 with new colourways and branding on the heel tab. Last but not least comes the Stan Smith CF, featuring the incredibly comfortable boost sole. All of the new sneakers and garments follow the olive green/white/black colour scheme, and it works incredibly well in our opinion.
You’ll be able to pick up anything from the collection via Adidas flagship stores and the Adidas website from this Saturday, the 15th of July.
